Our staff has a passion for youth development and giving back to our community here in the Pacific Northwest. We believe one of the best vehicles to aid in that development process for our youth is playing the game of baseball. There is simply no other sport like it when it comes to learning the value of preparation, approach, discipline, work ethic, teamwork and how they all collectively contribute to the ability to manage adversity as you experience the realities that will occur during the highs and lows within the game of baseball and life!
Having grown up in the Mount Vernon area graduating in 2001, Adam was able to follow his baseball dreams post High School at Edmonds CC and University of Hawaii during 2005-06. After a full college career, he stayed on with U of H as an assistant coach, then eventually came back home to coach Skagit Community College. Adam has a deep passion and drive surrounding baseball and it's been a dream to think about bringing a club opportunity of this nature to our North Sound athletes. Most recently he has been coaching youth sports, with emphasis in particular on Baseball in Skagit and Whatcom counties.
Lifelong resident of Arlington graduating in 1991. He then had the opportunity to play baseball for Gonzaga University (’92-95). Looking back on it, Casey would call out the amazing experience he had learning what it took to compete for those 4 years while managing the highs and lows as a competitive collegiate athlete. Highlighted by ending his 1995 season with 2nd Team All Pac-10 North honors at 3rd base. Since wrapping up his playing days Casey has coached at various levels including Assistant High School (Arlington), Stilly Valley Legion, Little League and most recently the Stilly Rapids program for past 5 seasons. Jacobs and Atchley have enjoyed coaching together the past 2 years.
Growing up in Sedro Wolley he was a unique high school standout in 1991 being one of the top pitchers in the state, including being selected in MLB draft. Justin went on to have incredibly successful seasons at Walla Walla CC and Texas A&M; each year being selected in the draft finally signing with the Cincinnati Reds in 1995. He played 6 seasons in the Minors before making his MLB debut in 2001. Justin, like the other coaches, has also gone through the realities of experiencing incredible success one moment and then having to face adversity the next. These lessons are so valuable to share with our youth and aid in the ability to prepare them to effectively handle those experiences on their own. Justin over the years has coached youth sports at many levels, most recently spending time as a pitching instructor.
